Product Description
This is an excellent tool to use when teaching the Civil War. This product is comprised of four separate strategies/graphic organizers that would be of incredible value in the classroom. The first is a literacy connection to the Civil War, using the story "Pink and Say" to facilitate a discussion. The information in the web can be altered. The second activity is Venn diagram, comparing and contrasting the North (The Union) and the South (The Confederacy). Again, suggested answers are included. The third is a cause-effect flow chart over the events of the Civil War. Suggested student responses are given. The last is a Selective Reading Guide that students can use independently when reading about the Civil War. The guide gives suggested reading rates and guiding comprehension questions. This is an excellent tool!
