Product Description
Over the course of many years, a series of events led the United States towards Civil War. This is a sampling of handouts that will teach your students about what brought about tensions between the North and the South.

The handouts include: Nat Turners Rebellion (a reading and a news article assignment), The Dred Scott decision (reading and questions), “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” (an excerpt from the book and analysis questions), the Lincoln-Douglas debates (a reading and questions), and the Election of 1860 (a political cartoon analysis).

Sometimes it can be difficult to cover all of these topics! I use these to make certain that my kids have a bit of understanding about what led the US towards a Civil War. These can be used as in-class assignments, homework, or sub-lessons.

These are all sold separately in my store.

Thank you for stopping by. I would love to hear from you!
