Civil War File Folder Game
“Civil War File Folder Game” is a Social Studies game for 2-4 players. The game is a fun way for students to learn about the numerous battles and events that occurred during the American Civil War. Students spin a spinner or roll a die to move forward on the board. Each turn requires a player to take a game card, read the event, and follow the directions on the card (i.e., move back 2 spaces). Play continues until a player reaches Virginia (Appomattox Court House) on the board. Create several sets for the whole class to play, or just use one in your literacy center.
Included in this product:
• General Instructions for Making the Game
• Board Game Pages – 2 versions: color and B&W
• Game Labels Page

A spinner template is included with this product, but dice could easily be substituted for the spinner. If you choose to make the spinner, you will need a metal brad (fastener) and a paper clip to assemble the spinner.
