My Civil War unit contains a super-deluxe, dynamic Civil War 72 slide PowerPoint that takes students all the way from the outbreak of the Civil War through Robert E. Lee's surrender to Grant at Appomattox and covers major battles, famous people and major turning points as the war came to a conclusion. The PowerPoint is filled with engaging photos, exciting pictures and even contains my own photographs of Antietam and Gettysburg taken from the same spots as Matthew Brady's photographs taken right after the battles! The PowerPoint is filled with teacher notes so extensive you can use it like a textbook with cloze passages (can be used as guided notes) that accompany every slide of the power point and Lesson Reviews that allow students to reflect back and respond to each chapter of the PowerPoint.
This product also includes a color-coded vocabulary list (accompanied by 6 vocabulary quizzes), 30 bingo cards, 31 flash cards, 12 graphic organizers (along with blank organizers), and a challenging 25-question Civil War Unit test. There are also 3 word search puzzles, 6 crossword puzzles and daily review questions that I use as daily activators.
Numerous Common Core Standards are addressed throughout. Answer Keys are provided for everything.
The resources included will keep your students very busy and provide them with numerous reading and writing activities. They follow the sequencing of the power point making this product very practical and easy to use as well.
