The students will conduct a web quest which allows them to gain knowledge and insight into the definition, purpose and procedures of civil and criminal cases. Upon completion of this assignment, students are expected to know that:

-Civil cases are established to settle disputes between two parties in order for the plaintiff to make an attempt to receive compensation from the defendant.

-Criminal cases allows the court to determine whether a person accused of breaking the law is guilty or not guilty of a felony or misdemeanor.
