This worksheet includes two very short (half of a page) excerpts from two articles. Each excerpt contains an argument and evidence for two sides of an issue. One article is about educational field trips and the other is about making the moon a national landmark. After students read the excerpts the worksheet asks them to list arguments and write a claim for each position. It also has students cite evidence for each position of the argument. This is a short (1 period) activity to introduce or practice finding claims and evidence.
