This page has five four-measure rhythmic exercises with quarter, eighth, half and dotted half notes and quarter rests in 3/4. Each exercise has two parts and can be clapped one line at a time or as a duet. For more advanced students, each child can do right hand and left hand. Each line uses two pitches so that students get used to seeing stems going either up or down, as they do in real music. There are two pitches used on each line, so these exercises can also be played on recorder or other melody instruments. They were created for rhythm practice.
