Make a class birthday display using these 12 cakes with each month of the year written on a different cake. Children can decorate a candle with their name on it to place on the appropriate birthday cake month. As well as being a great back to school activity, it is also a great introduction to graphs. Each cake takes up one A4 page. I have a laminated set that I use at the beginning of every school year.
- 12 different cakes one for each month of the year – there are 6 different fonts to choose from so there are 6 copies of each month’s cake, each with a different font so you can choose the font that will look best in your classroom
- Candles for students (or the teacher) to write their names on and decorate
- An ‘Our Birthdays’ heading to go with the displays (4 different colours to choose from, as well as a black and white copy, so you can choose the colours, or combination of colours that best suits you.)
