This book will be a favorite in the Reading Center! It is a "take-off" on the popular book "Brown Bear, Brown Bear". It begins with "Classmate, classmate who do you see?". The next page features a student including a photo of the student. "I see ________ looking at me. _______, ________ who do you see?" Each student will have their own page in the book. Be sure to include the teacher(s). The last page can be a group picture of the entire class. "I see my class looking at me. That's what I see!" This book will help young students learn the names of their classmates as well as how to recognize the names. It's great to use at the beginning of the school year, but is popular with students the entire year. The easiest way to assemble the book is to use a three-ring binder with a clear insert on the cover. Page protector sheets make it easy to display the pages and makes the book very sturdy. The notebook can be reused the next year by simply changing out the pages.
