A fun, creative, positive, and uplifting continuous class writing exercise, this book project promotes kindness for everyone from everyone. Kids will love reading all the wonderful things their classmates have to say about them, and it will be huge self-esteem and confidence builder they can keep for as long as they’d like!
How it Works:
-Make a schedule for the entire class, like one child per day or one per week.
-Print enough paw templates for the entire class to have 1 each for that child on that day.
-Each child will fill out the paw, writing at least 1 nice and positive thing about the person being highlighted that day/week, such as she is smart, he is good at soccer, he is great at sharing, etc… They will also color that paw specifically for that person and cut it out. The child being highlighted can do the journal during that time about what they like best about the whole class.
-Once all paws are in, you, a volunteer, or the child being highlighted can glue them in the template pages (printed from this packet) in their book. The book cover page, the template pages with glued on paws, and the back page can then be bound into a book, with a spiral binding machine, staples, or hole punches and string. Or, it can be put in a small 3-ring binder or report cover.
-Once the entire class is done, all journal pages can be collected to make a class book.
-Tips: Card Stock makes even sturdier cover pages and laminating helps make these last even longer.
