Product Description
My students love reading books but even more they LOVE creating books! They get such a thrill out of being the Authors and Illustrators. We have so much fun each taking a part in creating adorable and fun class made books for our Reading Center!

This pack includes 3 ready-to-go templates INCLUDING covers! They will be great additions to your December lesson plans!

Included in this pack:
- Oh Christmas Tree! Oh Christmas Tree!
Student work page
Cover
[Students decorate a Christmas Tree then write a sentence describing their tree.]

- My Christmas Wish
Student work page
Cover
[Students tell the thing they most want for Christmas and illustrate their wish.]

- Rudolph! Rudolph! What Color is your Nose?
Student work page
Cover
[A play on Brown Bear Brown Bear students color a Rudolph and choose a color for his nose, then they write a sentence about the color of Rudolph's nose.]

Each student work page has a sentence starter to aid students in gathering their thoughts. I have used these class books in both Pre-K and Kinder Classrooms and differentiated my instruction to meet the needs of the different levels of learners in each class.

I have also included a page with common core standards that are being practiced when completing these templates. You will have easy references for posting them in your lesson plans or objectives!

These books align with Common Core Standards for Kindergarten:
**W.K.2 Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose informative/explanatory texts in which they name what they are writing about and supply some information about the topic

**W.K.7 Participate in shared writing project

I print the covers color them, back them on construction paper and laminate a front and back cover for durability. Once student pages are completed I put them together using either the book binding machine here at school or with binder rings. My students are always so excited to see a new class book in the class library!
