While teaching at the 6th grade and up grade levels, nothing stressed my special education students – as well as myself – more than figuring out class schedules. The paper they receive on the first day of school telling them where to go and at what time is always overwhelming, especially for the sixth graders who never changed classes by a bell before. Fortunately as a case manager I have early access to their class schedules and am able to help a bit with all the chaos the first day brings!
Class Schedule Flip Book (8 Periods) was designed to help my special education students navigate through the halls and find their classes a little easier.
What you’re getting…
- directions on how to make a flip book
- 1 black & white flip book
- 1 color flip book
- 1 blank flip book
Each flip book comes with a homeroom flap and then 8 flaps, to represent each period, following it. Each flap in the flip book allows for students to write important information about that class – i.e. start/end time, subject, teacher. There’s also space to write down any other special information.
