This is the cover page and inside pages for your very own class storybook to go along with the children's story "If You Give a Moose a Muffin". I printed the cover page onto cardstock and made these writings into a class book. After reading the book to your class, students will write a sentence on the lined pages and draw a picture to show their writing. You may fill in part of the sentence and copy the pages or you may have the students write the full sentences on their own. I did this activity and filled in for each boy/girl and allowed them to write their own name on the line and what they did with their muffin (If you give __________ a muffin, she will _______.) (If you give __________ a muffin, he will ______). Encourage your students to be creative and not limited to just saying "bite it" or "eat it". I dictated their words once they attempted to spell them out using sounds they knew before I had the pages bound into a book. They will enjoy looking at and reading their class book in your classroom library!
