**Updated** This study guide is designed specifically for the Classic Starts Series version of Tom Sawyer, as retold from the Mark Twain original. I originally created this study guide for a class of 8th grade students with learning disabilities. That way they were still able to access the curriculum at a more appropriate reading level.
This is a chapter-by-chapter study guide with comprehension questions and some higher order thinking skills. It also includes a quiz on Chapters 1-7 and a final paper assignment (writing a sequel) with a brainstorm/outline guide. I've also newly added a "Character Counts" chart for your students to write on and track the different names and traits of the characters in the book as they read.
**Answer Key included!**
I hope you find this resource useful!
