This Examview test bank includes 72 classroom-tested multiple choice and matching questions. It includes a mixture of traditional, AP-formatted, and STAAR*-formatted questions which can be used for on-level, pre-AP or Honors, and modified, resource, or ELL students. Many questions employ documents, visual stimulii, or other higher-level questioning techniques. (Generally, on-level questions are the ones that have 4 answer choices; pre-AP have 5, and modified have 3.)
The test bank was designed to be fully aligned to the 'I Heart World History' curriculum; however, it is suitable for use with any standard secondary World History curriculum. ‘I Heart World History’ is an original textbook which is written for 9th-12th graders. The book approaches history with humor and kid-friendly language, as it was written by an ACTUAL TEACHER who has contact with LIVING CHILDREN on a daily basis! My goal in writing this book was to create a text that students would actually want to read, which explained concepts in ways they could understand, without 'dumbing down' the information. A 'regular' version of the text suitable for on-level and Honors or pre-AP students is available, in addition to a sheltered version of the text suitable for modified or resource students and English Language Learners.
The full ‘I Heart World History’ curriculum is student-centered, and appeals to visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. It has been classroom tested with six different teachers who taught pre-AP, on-level, modified, and ESL 10th graders in a Texas high school. It includes adaptations for different student achievement levels as well: modified, on-level, and pre-AP. To learn more about the text and curriculum, please download this free document.
