This DBQ (Document-based Question) includes 8 primary and secondary source documents for student analysis, in response to the prompt, "Analyze the political and cultural achievements and legacy of Classical Rome." The documents include visual representations of Roman sculpture and mosaics, secondary sources commenting on the relationship between Greek and Roman scholarship, and primary sources such as excerpts from the Laws of the Twelve Tables and the writings of Polybius.

The file includes the DBQ itself, a pre-writing worksheet, sample response, and grading rubric.

This DBQ is appropriate for 9th-12th graders in an on-level or pre-AP World History class.
