Worksheet 1: Higher level, fluent readers. Students must answer two questions to identify the meaning of both a vertebrate and cold-blooded animal. Students will cut/glue to sort two facts for each of the 5 main families of vertebrates (mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, and amphibians).
Worksheet 2: Same questions as higher level version. Added Boardmaker symbols to aide students who are not fluent readers. The graphic organizer where students sort the facts gives an example of an animal within each class.
Just as insight, I am using this as a pre&post activity in my special needs (8:1:1) 3-5 classroom. This can also be used in general education, as a differentiated copies are available within the file.
