This is a three page document that can be used to teach students how to classify numbers and then let them practice classifying. The number sets include real, irrational, rational, integer, whole and counting. The first two pages are meant to be printed back-to-back and placed in an interactive journal. The flow chart on the front is notes for students on number sets the back side is to let them practice placing them in their correct number set. The backside is upside down so when it is folded it is facing the correct direction. The third page is a practice I do with either the whole class or in small group. I make this page into a white board (this can be done by laminating it, putting it in page protectors or putting in shop ticket holders) and then I put numbers up on the board. The students are supposed to write the numbers at the top and check all the boxes that apply below. This is great for covering TEK 8.2A for 8th grade math.
