This product was created to help students classify quadrilaterals using properties, explore coordinate proofs, and solve related math problems.
Students will create a two-sided foldable. They will cut out the rectangle, discarding the white margin. They will fold the panels into the middle, and cut along the dotted lines. The foldable will then be glued or taped onto a sheet of notebook paper. Using a ruler and protractor, students will measure side lengths, diagonal lengths and angle measures of the quadrilaterals, verifying the associated properties listed on the foldable.
The font I've used for the foldable is "Dyslexie", specifically designed for students with learning difficulties to read with more ease.
My students love foldables! They are ideal for hands on learners and interactive student notebooks.
After creating the foldable, students will complete a Notes Template introducing coordinate proofs. They will use the notes template and foldable to solve thirteen problems, adapted from Massachusetts' MCAS question bank. The problems include multiple choice and short answer questions.
The foldable should be printed double-sided. Two versions of the foldable are included, depending on the way your printer does two-sided landscape printing.
