This worksheet gives your students practice classifying descriptive sentences for the seasons of the year. At the top of the page is a drawing for the seasons of spring, fall, and winter. I did not use summer, because there is too much overlap in activities for spring and summer. Also, the initial letter of both is “s”. I provide 20 sentences for your students to label. I purposely wrote the sentences trying to use Dolch sight words and high-frequency words to provide students with vocabulary practice. If you live in a region where the climate is the same throughout the seasons, I put a note at the bottom of the page stating, “The questions above apply to places where the weather changes with the seasons.”
This worksheet is a word document, so if you want to eliminate sentences or change the wording to include vocabulary words that are a part of your story and/or teaching unit, you can easily do so. The second page is the answer key.
