Use these cute and humorous posters to introduce classroom/school rules or as part of your character development program.
I especially like the way "good" and "bad" behaviors are portrayed...animals are pictured doing inappropriate behaviors and people (students) are shown doing what's right. No negatives associated with the kids..and the message is made in a light-hearted way.
There are 13 posters that cover these behaviors and traits, citing certain instances:
*courtesy, responsibility, kindness, respect :
-allowing those sitting behind you to see (circle time, assembly time, etc.)
-reaching solutions to personal disagreements with dignity and respect (let’s get along)
-remembering to raise one’s hand in order to contribute to a group discussion (not shouting out)
-not interrupting or interfering with others who are focused on their work (during quiet times for class work, tests)
-being mindful of others when walking in a crowd or down the hall (transition times, fire drills, passing to specials, dismissal)
-respecting others’ “space” and property (keeping hands to oneself)
-listening to directions(paying attention)
-taking turns (being cooperative in play and in collaborative groups; sharing; not monopolizing small group or paired activities)
-taking care (getting enough rest, caring for personal/school property)
These posters are most suitable for grades K-3. You may find that you would like to use some or all of them, depending on grade level. I can guarantee that you will
always find use for at least half of the posters at any of the grade levels mentioned.
You may also notice that there are 2 of each poster.
These pairings are the same except for their frames.
One has an uncolored frame so that you may color it in to match your classroom décor and colors.
