This is the flier that I included in a packet to my parents explaining the behavioral system in my classroom. This has been a HUGE success! The students were given a "dog tag" which a parent volunteered to fund (they can be purchased on-line in bulk) -- but it can be done using whatever you have. The dog tag (you could make one out of craft foam or cardboard as well) is for the students to decorate with their name, stickers, glitter, etc.. I purchased red, black, gold and silver pony beads which are very inexpensive. This documents explains how they are all used. It has been something the students take great pride in and is a good way to build self-esteem, encourage peer praise, use parent volunteer help, and have a wonderful keepsake from your classroom!
