A book receipt is a form filled out by a student upon receipt of a school-loaned book. They exchange this form for the book. Upon returning the book, the student receives the property receipt back to throw away. At the end of the year, all unreturned books are represented by the number of property receipts the teacher still has in their possession (I have kept them all together in a binder separated by class). Thus, a teacher's obligation job at the close of the school year is instantly simplified.
I did not invent this teacher hack, but I was looking for some to implement for next school year. When I found none, I decided to create some for myself as well as share them! Here are two book receipts designed and ready for print.
