The Classroom CORE Book is the result of a creative collaboration between teachers and SLPs at a separate public day school for students with significant disabilities. The goal of this tool is to provide teachers a means by which to tangibly identify and manipulate the core vocabulary used in lessons. This tool is intended to facilitate increased use of core vocabulary and natural aided language. It can be used to bring structure to the language used in whole group, small group and individual instruction.
To create a Classroom CORE Book, print all TPT postings labeled "Classroom CORE Book" and assemble per the instructions included in another posting. Suggestions for implementation are also included.
