Here's what is included in this resource:

>Teacher notes to help you implement this lesson in your own classroom

>Teacher Slides: a few slides to guide the discussion and lesson, great to use while launching the lesson

>Off-Limit Phrases Activity: students receive some common and possibly not so positive phrases on a speech bubble. In groups, they brainstorm how to flip these phrases so that they are more positive!

>Chart Template: "instead of this...say or think this..." great for recording the positive phrases that were created during the brainstorm activity. A second chart template is provided "Words help us grow" if you'd like to have a chart with all of the positive phrases in your classroom! These templates are provided so you can trace them onto chart paper.

>Student Sheet: at the end of the lesson students jot down some ideas on things they can think and say to help them during math learning, as well as things they'd like to hear!

>JUST ADDED! Math-ffirmations Sheet! This sheet is a perfect way to wrap up this lesson and have your students come up with some encouraging things that they can think and say to themselves during math ask MATH-ffirmations :)
