Product Description
The classroom economy program runs all year and will be the backbone of your classroom each year and students absolutely LOVE it!

This set includes just about everything you'll need to run a real life classroom economy and teach decimal addition and subtraction in a fun way. Students have savings and checking accounts, pay bills, earn paychecks and really understand the choices of spending and saving.

There are 147 pages of PDF, Word, and SMART Notebook files in this compressed/zipped file. Be sure to download the 9-page product preview to see everything included!

Students will use decimal addition and subtraction to earn a real check book. Students will earn classroom cash and pay fines and fees through demonstrating responsibility and independence and make decisions about spending and saving. Students apply and become classroom bankers, and manage your classroom bank and do all of the work of running the program including paying for weekly homework. At the end of the year you'll hold an auction where students spend their classroom cash earned.

You receive all of the lessons, activities, hints and tips, classroom cash, and worksheets I’ve created over the years on how write checks and fill out a check ledger. Students will earn a checking and savings account, pay classroom rent and bills and make spending and saving decisions at classroom auctions. They will also earn a check guarantee card (or gold card) and receive coupons for things like neat desk (you decide the incentives).

I created this banking classroom economy and have refined it over the years to motivate my students and connect real life to their learning and what you find in this set is all of that plus more that I've created for selling it on TpT. :) Your students will LOVE this project!

Note about editable PDFS: With editable PDFs, the formatting stays in place, but you can type right into the PDF form fields and print beautiful, real looking checks for your students. If you teach an online class or are going paperless, you can save this file for each of your students and they can practice writing checks without all the paper.
