Summer Sale!! Impress your families going back to school this year! 30% off! Complete customization for your classroom, your situation!
I have sent home a back to school packet for years, but few parents read the whole thing and even fewer kept them as a resource for the whole year. This file helped me create a keepsake for them to use as a reference. I even included their logins for different sites we use, such as Spelling City and Class Dojo. Plus, it's highly visual compared to what I used to send!
The file is set up to be 4 front and back pages that fold into a flip booklet. You can edit all of the items, but to see how the book lays out, I suggest you print one (double sided). Then fold (on the lines provided) and staple it together to help you plan where you want your topics. This will help you visualize the placement. In my school, we can print straight to the Xerox machine, and I just select 2-sided printing (Publisher only). If you are using a single sided printer (word or publisher), make sure you position the paper correctly when you put it back to get the 2nd side printed - the tip sheet shows you how!
I kept some of the information in the way that I present it to my families. You are welcome to change any or all of it, or use some of the wording if you like it. There is a lot of room on every page for you to make it your own!
Tip: Dress your final copy up by using different colors of paper. Print page 1 and 2 back to back on one color, then 3 and 4 back to back on another color, etc. It looks great this way!

***IMPORTANT TECHNICAL INFO***This file has two choices of programs to use. I originally created it in Microsoft Publisher 2007, but with lots of requests I have also included a format for Microsoft Word 2007 (NOT 2003). Please use the sample file to verify your ability to open and edit the file to fit your needs prior to purchasing. Technical rating for working with this file is medium, but the payoff when you have the finished file is Oooh - la la!***
Please!!! Do not rate the file poorly for your inability to open it or work with it. I have provided ample support for you to figure this out before you purchase and appreciate feedback and improvement suggestions if you do choose to purchase after testing out the sample file.
