Use this classroom guidance lesson to get students thinking about long-term academic goals, steps for achieving these goals, and people who can help! Introduce lesson with an interview with world champion athletes to discuss how athletes feel when they accomplish goals and how they have people who support them. Includes lesson plan (objectives, outline, materials list, and ASCA standards alignment), example, handouts, and objectives assessment checklist.
I use this lesson with third grade, but it is appropriate for grades 3-5.
