This classroom guidance lesson gets students thinking about the ways in which their bodies feel and the thoughts they experience when they are angry and when they are calm. Lead students through 3 coping skills exercises: progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, and deep breathing.
Includes: lesson plan (objectives, outline, materials list, ASCA standards alignment), guided imagery script, progressive muscle relaxation script, handouts, and objectives assessment checklist.
I use this lesson with fifth grade, but it is appropriate for grades 5-7.
