42 Jobs included!
Every year it seems we are changing and adding to our classroom job list. We thought it would be a great product to offer on Teachers Pay Teachers, because it has truly saved us time having this product at our fingertips for the start of each new school year.
In an effort to include jobs for all grade levels, we interviewed both our primary and intermediate teacher friends to get their advice on what to include. Customize these job cards to suit your classroom needs. Use only the cards that align with the routine in your classroom, and disregard the rest. With this product, you can easily change your classroom job procedure each year and with changing job assignments.
After considering several routines for using the job cards in in our classrooms, we developed a system we prefer. Simply choose which cards you wish to use for your classroom. Then, using the number of students in your class, use a wet-erase marker (on the laminated cards) to mark each card with the number of children who will perform that task together, so that each student in the class has a job each week. Next, we put each student’s name on a popsicle stick and place the sticks in the job chart pockets, according to how many students will perform each job. Every Monday, we simply move the popsicle stick over one spot to the right or left. This will mean that some students will do the same job for more than one week in a row, until their popsicle stick moves enough spots to go to the next pocket.
The beauty of these cards is that you may use them however works best for your classroom.
Wishing you a clean and well organized classroom!
