Classroom Helpers {Nautical Edition} EDITABLE

Do you need a super cute way to display your classroom helpers or jobs? Here it is!
I have included 32 jobs plus I've also included an editable version where you can add your own jobs and even change the names of the jobs that I included!

The helpers that are in my pack are:

Calendar Helper: If you do calendar time in your classroom, you can have this helper assist you with calendar or even have them run calendar!
Light Monitor: This helper will control the lights in your classroom. If you have lamps, they can also be in charge of turning them on/off.
Lunch Helpers: Lunch helpers can carry the lunch tub to the cafeteria and/or pass out lunch cards.
Messenger: The messenger’s responsibility is to deliver or pick up anything from other rooms.
Line Leader: Leads the line.
Line Ender: Ends the line and makes sure that all students are out of the classroom (or any place that you’re leaving) and in line.
Recess Helpers: They take out any recess materials you may need to the playground.
Teacher’s Assistant: This is probably my favorite job. They assist you in everything. Some examples: get you materials that are across the room, fetch your coffee/water, hold up posters (hold anything for you) or even just to pass you the colored markers that you need while making an anchor chart!
Paper Passer: This helper passes out papers or materials to the class.
Door Holder: This helper holds the door open and makes sure that everyone is out of the room. I also have them be 2nd in line.
Breakfast Helpers: If you have breakfast in your classroom, these friends will mark the students that are eating, make sure that all students take the required amounts of food, clean up the breakfast cooler/box, clean the sink, and take out the trash.
Pencil Sharpener: This helper will sharpen pencils. I usually assign certain times that this can be done. In my classroom, it’s during breakfast and during our pack-up/dismissal time!
Library Monitor: This helper will make sure that the library is neat and that there are no books on the floor.
Library Book Helper: This helper will carry your library books to the library.
Board Eraser: This helper will erase the board.
Substitute: This helper will take over any job responsibilities of an absent student.
Morning Meeting Helper: If you have a morning meeting, this student can help you or even run it themselves!
Table Captains: These helpers are the captains of the tables. You may use them to pass out/pick up/put away materials, to check their tablemates or anything else!
Supply Helper: The supply helper is responsible for making sure all students have their necessary supplies. If they don’t, the supply helper will get them materials. This usually ends up being a new glue stick or scissors!
Nurse: This helper hands out bandages, when needed. They can also grab a nurse’s pass and a pen for you!
Clean Up Helper: The clean up helper makes sure to help clean up. Especially helpful after a cutting activity!
Pet Helper: If you have a class pet, the pet helper can change its water/food.
Gardener: If you have plants in the classroom, the gardener’s job is to water the plants.
Technology Helper: This friend will be who students go to if there is ever a technology problem. This is especially helpful during your guided reading/small group instruction time!
Backpack Captain: The backpack captain will make sure that all of the backpacks are off the floor and either on the chairs or on their backpack hooks/closet. It’s no fun tripping over backpacks…trust me!
Desk Checker: This helper makes sure that the tops of the desks are clean! They may tell other students if they forgot to put away materials!
Sweeper: The sweeper will sweep up any debris! This may be crumbs, spills, or even dirt.
Class Reader: The class reader gets to read to the class. You may do this everyday or even once a week. I liked doing this during times that I couldn’t find a paper or materials during the lesson. The students would be super engaged and it gave me a few minutes to get my life together…ha!
Sink Monitor: The sink monitor watches over the sink while the class is either getting drinks or washing their hands. The sink monitor can also hand out paper towels.
Photographer: This is going to be a new job for our class. It will be this helper’s responsibility to take pictures. I have an old camera that they can use. This will be perfect for yearbook photos, class blogs, or even parent emails. I will tell the student when to take pictures but I KNOW this will be a popular job!
Hall Monitor: This student will monitor the hall. I will give them a page of stickers and they get to pick 2-4 “line superstars” while we are in the hallway!
Cubby Captain: This helper makes sure that the cubbies are clean and organized.

I have also included two different sizes: a small size that you can use with library pockets and a full size that can be used on its own. I also made student numbers that can be attached to popsicle sticks. There are also headers for your new board!

There are also 3 different kinds of cards: cards with regular kid helper clip art, cards with regular kid helper clip art and small nautical clip art, and big nautical clip art.

Did you ever make the same student be the door holder because you had forgotten who's done what job? You will no longer have that problem! I have included a job checklist! Once a child has been a certain job you can just check them off! How easy!
