This behavior management system totally keeps my students engaged! They work so hard together to keep all the pieces on the magnetic sheet. Changing the magnets to match our theme or holiday totally gives them a thrill too!
Print and laminate the sets of pictures.
Cut out individual pictures.
I have provided 6, but I only use 5 at a time.
Add a magnet or magnetic tape to the back of each piece.
Behavior Management System Instructions:
The idea is to focus on one behavior at a time. I tend to use this system for carpet behavior. I focus on behaviors like blurting out, interrupting, and not listening.
Each time my class is doing a negative behavior I remove a picture from the cookie sheet and continue on with my lesson without stopping.
I start with 5 pieces, if there are 5 left at the end of the lesson then the students get to put a pompom in our bucket.
In my class we are “Bucket Fillers”, so this is just another way for students to earn a bucket filler as a class.
I change the magnetic pieces to match the season/holiday/or classroom unit.
* Please note this is not my original idea. I found the idea on Pinterest and created picture cards to use in my own classroom.
