In order to guarantee a successful year, classroom rules must be taught at the beginning of each school year. This Classroom Management Starter Kit will help to ensure that all expectations are understood and will give you the tools to teach classroom rules.
Classroom Listening Rules- Use these listening rules to help students understand what whole body listening looks and sounds like. These rules can be introduced at the beginning of the year or as they are need throughout the year.
Classroom Rules-Five simple classroom rules will make expectations clear at the beginning of the year. Classroom rules are stated in “I can” statements so students can take ownership or their own behavior.
Clip Chart- Create a clothespin with each students’ name and place all pins in the green area at the beginning of each day. Throughout the day, have students move their clips up or down to reflect their choices.
Parent Contact- Use these Contact forms to keep parents informed about their child’s behavior. Don’t forget to celebrate great choices!
Classroom Rules Review- These Rule Cards can be used in a pocket chart or to create a class anchor chart. Students choose a behavior card and place under the correct header to state whether each choice is poor or fantastic. This activity makes it very clear to students what expectable behavior looks like and what the classroom rules actually mean.
