Product Description
As a teacher, you know the importance of establishing routines and expectations in your classroom. You are always hearing about building a classroom community, communicating with families, and having amazing management. It's NOT easy to get it all done! Our little ones come with very diverse of skills, and your day is already packed full!

I created this set to HELP! It will provide you with resources to actually TEACH classroom routines and expectations. It will also help you build a classroom community and communicate with families. This set is perfect for new teachers and veteran teachers!

It includes over 50 cards to prompt discussions in your classroom, such as "What should you do when you enter the classroom in the morning?" and "What should you do when the teacher is talking to an adult?" Every teacher has different routines so you can make these cards fit YOUR classroom! There is a vivid photograph of real children on every card so emerging readers have a visual reference.

Every prompt has a matching poster. You can use these to create anchor charts for your classroom or make a class book. There are also response slips for every prompt that print with 3 slips per page. You can use these as a quick assessment when you are teaching routines. You can also use these when someone forgets the rules and needs a reminder. For example, if you take your class to an assembly and you're disappointed in their behavior, you can pull out the "What should I do at an assembly?" discussion card and response slips. You can review what they should be doing and reinforce your expectations. The slips also work for individual students.

To help communicate with parents, there is a parent note that can be printed on the back of any response slip. It's a great way to communicate your expectations with parents and show how you are TEACHING positive behaviors. You could have children fill out the slip at school or at home with their parents.
