Why not try an auction as a classroom management tool? No more trying to figure out what they like and how much to sell it for. No more giving out coupons that just do not excite the students. Get the class excited about an auction. Let the class decide what something is worth. You know how it feels when you are bidding on eBay. Bring that excitement and passion to the classroom.

I started having an auction a few years ago when I noticed that I wasn’t pricing thing correctly in the school store or goody box. My value system and the students was very different. I thought that I was giving someone an awesome coupon when all I got was an “Oh, that’s OK.”
I use both hard goods, dollar store finds, etc. and class coupons. Some of my best selling coupons are things like dance with the teacher. Yes, we put on music and I dance with a student. The class loves it and I have to do it every month.

Peek at the preview to get more information on how I run my auction.

Here is a list of the coupons that are available. You won’t use them all, I never use lunch with the teacher. I have 2 little ones and need to work during lunch.
