I've been teaching for 30 years and I've learned a few tricks along the way. Do your kids constantly tattle?? Do you find that the kids are constantly coming to you for all kinds of pesky little problems? Well I have a solution for you. Problem Solver Cards. Problem solver cards help kids gain independence in solving their own problems. This video explains how to help students become responsible for solving all their pesky little issues that come up a hundred times a day. “He cut me in line, “He took my crayon”, “She rolled her eyes at me”, “He knocked my blocks” “She’s bothering me” and on and on and on it goes. If a student comes to me with a problem I immediately say “Go talk to the problem solver.” Both parties get a chance to tell their side of the story to the problem solver. The problem solver uses the cards to help determine a response. At times, it’s like watching a scene from a court drama.
