Do you want to implement class jobs into your upper elementary/middle school classroom? These job description cards are PERFECT for teachers who want a simple, self-running system for class jobs! The best part? You can introduce classroom managers at any point in the year. No need to wait until next year!
Each job is titled to empower students to take responsibility as MANAGERS of their classroom. By having description cards, you are eliminating the need to constantly remind students of their job responsibilities. Until I started using job description cards, I was pulling my hair out reminding students to do their jobs. It seemed like class jobs were almost too much of a bother!
When I decided to write up our job descriptions, print and laminate them, my classroom was transformed. For once, it was EASIER to have class jobs. I allowed managers to keep the cards with them as a reminder to get their job done, and to get it done right!
I use these class jobs in my middle school math classes, and it is perfect! I assign each job per class period, and they leave the card behind for the next class. If you're a middle school teacher, you may opt to create a set for each class period.
Included upper elementary/middle school job descriptions:
-attendance manager (2)
-paper collection manager
-paper distribution manager
-substitute manager (2)
-personal assistant (2)
-lunch count manager
BONUS! 4 additional job descriptions specifically for elementary:
-front hall manager
-back hall manager
Let kids take responsibility for their classroom so you can take back some of your precious time! :)
