I believe our students need to know exactly what we expect of them and also how we feel about them! These posters are perfect to introduce in classroom meetings and discuss. Once you have discussed them, they make adorable decor that will always remind your students about the culture of your classroom! They are perfect for promoting a growth mindset, accountable talk, and relationships in the classroom.

You'll find each poster in colored clipart, black and white clipart, and stock photos. I've also included half-page versions. You'll also find a reflection journal for students to use to write about each one.

Each "motto," "value" or "norm" also has it's own read-aloud for classroom discussion. Similar to a social story, it allows you the opportunity to talk about each one more in depth and have a powerful classroom discussion.

This download includes printable and digital versions of the posters and reflection journal. I have added several "mottos" that pertain to virtual/distance learning and staying safe and healthy.

The following classroom values are included.

I expect you to do your very best.

Things get easier with practice.

We will do hard things every day.

What you think and feel matters to me.

Your brain grows when things are challenging.

You must use kind words and actions.

We will spend a lot of time reading, writing and problem-solving.

We will work and learn together.

We will talk about our learning.

Sometimes being fair and being equal are different.

I believe you will do amazing things.

We stand up for what's right.

I want you to be physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy.

It's good to share our feelings with each other.

I am so excited to be your teacher!

These have been added to help you navigate social distancing and remote learning.

We can still have fun behind a computer.

Learning can happen in a classroom or at home.

We will work hard to keep each other safe.
