Classroom Newsletter Template

Use any of these 7 adorable, editable newsletter templates to connect with families on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.

I recommend involving your students in the brainstorming process when you write this. It only takes a minute or two, and it puts the ownership on students to reflect on their learning. Because you will be following a simple, bulleted list format to write about most of what happens in your classroom, you'll spend no more than 10 minutes each week writing an effective newsletter. This also keeps your newsletter simple, which increases the likelihood that families will read it.

While you can edit the “Ask Me About” sections of the newsletter, I recommend keeping it for a while before changing it; it helps to create meaningful conversations about school within families since the students are generating ideas and are answering questions. And, better yet, it shortens the valuable time you have to spend writing! The bottom line is: you no longer have to spend hours writing up a fancy newsletter for your families!

This document is editable, so you will need to own Microsoft Powerpoint in order to use it. There are a few cute fonts I recommend that you download, and I have provided links to them in the powerpoint.
