At the beginning of the year, I printed the following document on cardstock, laminated it, and had my students label the classroom. It saved a lot of time doing an entire unit on classroom vocabulary. I speak mostly in Spanish, so any time I was directing the students, I could just point to the labeled object in the classroom and eventually the students caught on.
These were especially handy while learning prepositions in Spanish 2. Students had to describe the location of the objects in relation to other objects found in the class.
They serve as a reminder to all students taking Spanish, and I don´t have to spend much time explaining, all I do is point to the labeled object. I leave them up all year long. They eventually become part of the classroom and don´t stick out as much!
I hope you find these as useful as I have!
