If you are like me, the idea of a germy hall pass following kids into the bathroom multiple times a day and then being passed on from kid to kid kind of freaks you out. In my room, I use tear-away individual hall passes that students glue into their notebook at the beginning of each nine weeks. When they want to exit the room, they hand me an exit pass. They must have an exit pass to exit, so this limits the number of trips that they take outside of my classroom.
I also give kids two "grumpy cat" passes and two "question passes" per nine weeks. These are included in this product and explained in detail in the "Suggestions for Use" portion of this product.
One reason why this system has worked for me is because I reward students for every pass they have not used at the end of the nine weeks. In my case, I give them a certain number of tickets from my team's behavior system per leftover pass, but you could use candy or any reward that they would enjoy.
Included in this product are exit, grumpy cat, and question passes for each nine weeks and suggestions for use. I hope that you find this helpful and that the system works as well for you as it has for me! Have a great day.
