Students are often stressed in school for a variety of reasons. This poster reminds students of the benefits of deep breathing as a way of reducing stress. I actually took time out of my Strategies for Success classes to teach them how to breathe deeply which they did as a group before all tests and quizzes often reminding me if I forgot. "Can we breathe first?" was actually a question asked of teens in all seriousness during tough times. Of all the strategies I taught them in the course - and there were many - this was one of their favorites. The poster also lists other benefits of deep breathing especially the importance of oxygen to the brain and the thinking time it affords a student before they say or post something they can't take back.
