Procedures and routines are the foundation for a functional classroom. I spend the first few weeks of every school year teaching and reteaching these procedures until they become second nature. Once your students are habitually following routines, an optimal learning environment will emerge.

This bundle includes slides explaining the procedures (including my notes on implementation), a study guide, and a quiz with answer key. This is a great way to get a grade into gradebook early in the year while giving you an idea of which procedures need more practice! These procedures are intended for a middle school classroom.

Most of the slides also contain notes (hidden from student view) with my thoughts, suggestions, and guidelines for implementation.

All of these files are fully editable so you can adjust each procedure as needed to best fit your school and your classroom. I teach these procedures over the course of a week and end the week with the quiz. It's a terrific way to start the first days of school.
