In order to maintain a positive classroom environment, teachers need to provide children with clear expectations, or rules, that teach how to behave in a classroom setting. Best practices recommend that classroom rules be clear, concise, stated positively, limited in number, developmentally appropriated, and posted visually. Teachers should introduce their classroom rules during circle time and reinforce them in ongoing contexts.
These five 8½ X 11inch classroom rule posters are ideal for establishing general classroom rules. They can be displayed in the classroom or compiled into a book. There are two sets of classroom rules posters – the first set of posters contains pictures of children following each classroom rule, while the second set of posters contains symbols representing each rule.
A picture-less printable book has been provided for children to illustrate their very own classroom rules book. "Stop/Go" and "Rules Charades" are games that have also been included at the end of the document to assist in differentiating the way rules are reinforced.
NOTE: The Feelings Laboratory logo does not print on the purchased printable -- it is only included in the preview version.
