I am so excited to share this product with you! I have always loved classroom jobs and what they bring to the classroom. Students are given responsibility and accountability in helping to care for our classroom. However, I have always struggled with keeping up with it all. When each student has an individual job it is difficult to remember who is responsible for what. It is also a struggle to designate time each day to allowing students to do their job. If I don’t show fidelity to something it is certain that my students won’t either.
Why team jobs has been the perfect solution:
-Setup of team jobs at the beginning of the year requires extra emphasis on key characteristics of good citizens like cooperation, perseverance, responsibility, and integrity!
-Students hold one another accountable rather than relying on the teacher for reminders.
-Students learn how to work together and compromise while contributing to the community as a team rather than individually.
-The broad job categories allow the teacher freedom to add or take away from the jobs based on the needs of the students each year.
-Teams develop a sense of pride!
