Product Description
This classroom visuals and positive behavior support bundle features self-monitoring checklists with words and visuals to support understanding for morning routine, independent work, circle time/whole group expectations and a checklist for students to evaluate their own behavior. Also in this bundle is a behavior chart with a two-fold purpose: To help students collaborate with the teacher to evaluate behavior on a daily basis (in the AM/PM if needed) and to collect data on behavior and communicate with parents. I glue this chart into a composition book and fill it out each day before lunch and before dismissal. The visuals help students to reflect and express their own evaluation of their behavior, helping them to feel that they play an active and important role in their own education. I also like these daily "check-ins" as it gives me the opportunity to conference with students and gain a better understanding of what they think and feel, and how to support them in making better decisions or keeping up the good work! In the boxes labeled AM/PM, I put a foil star sticker for great behavior, and I leave it blank if the student is off his/her game. I laminate and use the "did I earn my stars" checklist to help guide students in reflecting on and evaluating their own behavior at the end of the day. There is also a section to write a quick note to parents, or to identify what needs improvement/what the student is doing well.

For more severe behaviors, I give out stars after each subject, and use the chart to have students tally their stars at the end of the week to earn rewards. Students can also earn rewards for AM/PM stars earned (a double star day = 2 PBIS tickets, etc.)
