This activity is a take on running dictation--an idea I learned about from Martina Bex.I do it after we have practiced these words a couple of times with flashcards so that it is not the first time that they have heard them.
I cut out the labels and hang them on the items spaced out around my classroom. I sort of hide some of them so that the kids have to work to find them. One student gets up, finds the item, reads the label, and then goes back to their partner and spells the word letter by letter. The other partner records the word letter by letter. After each word the two students switch roles. At the end they should have all of the vocabulary words correctly recorded for their notes to study.
