In this activity your students will be asked to compare various organelles of the cell to parts of the classroom. When I've used this activity in the past, I had students work in groups of two to discuss what they would match each organelle with and then tape the name of the organelle to the item. Students then fill out the included chart listing the item they matched it with and why they chose that item. Included organelles are cell membrane, cell wall, nucleus, mitochondria, ribosome, endoplasmic reticulum, and more.
An answer key is included, but it does not necessarily include all items a student may choose for the organelle.
