This Chevron THEME clip chart will help to motivate your students to try to clip up to AMAZING. The clip chart is based off of a clip chart system developed by Rick Morris.
The clothespins with student names on them start out the day clipped to the middle of the chart on ready to learn. The clothespins are clipped to the left and right edges of the Ready to Learn level of the chart. During the course of the day, the clothespins move up and down the chart based upon the behavioral choices each student makes. Good behavior causes the clothespin to move up one level. Conversely, inappropriate behavior will cause the clothespin to move down one level. To assemble, print the two headers back with construction paper or cardstock, then laminate. Glue or tape the other pages in order vertically or horizontally if you choose and have the wall space.
For a variation for those that struggle to manage this with a large group of kids,I have printed this two to a page ( depending on the printer option settings and made group clips for a little group motivation - this tends to help them work as a team as I reward the teams on Amazing or highest on the clip chart with a small free reward like 5 minutes of doodle time or computer time etc..
