Set of printable listening activities for Claude Debussy's Children's Corner.
There are 2 versions of 3 different Debussy glyphs: one is easy and one is more challenging. The listening glyphs are for the following pieces of music: The Snow is Dancing, Golliwogg's Cakewalk; Jimbo's Lullaby.
The easy glyphs use basic terms (loud, soft, fast, slow). The hard ones use music terms (adagio, allegro, forte, piano).
Depending on which glyph, students will be listening for instrumentation, vocals, tempo, and dynamics.
Students will need a good variety of crayons, markers, or colored pencils. (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Light Blue, Dark Blue, Purple, Pink, Gray, Black, Red, and Brown)
There is also a listening worksheet included for each of the 6 pieces of the Children's Corner.
The listening worksheets are identical, except for the titles.
The listening sheets ask students to
1) list words describing the music,
2) draw a picture of what they imagine while listening, and
3) write if they liked / disliked the piece and why
